::  Dade County Courthouse
73 W Flagler Street
Years Built: 1925-1928
Architects: A. Ten Eyck Brown; August C. Geiger, Associate Architect
Date Designated: 1985

a. The Dade County Courthouse has served continuously as the seat of government since its completion in 1928. At the time it was finished, the courthouse was said to be the tallest structure south of Baltimore. The building is an outstanding example of Neo-Classical architecture. The base of the 28-story skyscraper is sheathed in Stone Mountain granite, while the rest of the tower is covered in terra cotta tinted to match the granite. The Dade County Courthouse was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
