b. This residence is an outstanding example of a 1920s Belvedere Bungalow,
one of the most popular housing styles of the early twentieth century.With
its wide eaves, deep-set porch, and windows arranged for cross ventilation,
the style was particularly well suited for Miami's tropical climate. The
use of oolitic limestone architectural elements is characteristic of bungalows
in South Florida.
